80, passed away Sunday December 12, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Phyllis (Lincoln) King, they were married for 60 years.
William was born in Providence on January 7, 1930 and grew up in the Pawtucket and Central Falls area. He was the son of the late William Sr. and Mary (Kenny) King.
William retired from Osram Sylvania in 1992, moved to Florida and lived there for 17 years before returning to Rhode Island 3 years ago. William served in the United States Air Force for eight years during the "Korean Conflict" and retired as a Staff Sergeant, he also served in the Marine Reserves for two years.
He was a talented artist, liked to play pool, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, He is survived by his children, Leslie King of Lincoln, William and his wife Denise of Cumberland, Maryellen Graham and her husband Scott of Hingham, Ma, and Joanne Andreozzi and her husband Steven of North Providence. He leaves 7 grandsons, and many nieces and nephews; he was also the grandfather of the late William S. King IV.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Keefe Funeral Home Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln with a prayer service at 1:30pm followed by Military Honors. Burial will be private in the Rhode Island Veteran Cemetery Exeter.
